Business Development Manager (m/f/d) Pharma

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

As Business Development Manager (m/f/d) you take a key role by providing and supporting measures that are securing the external growth of the Merz Therapeutics business on the short as well as long term by identifying and executing transaction projects. Your detailed tasks are the following:

•    Scout, identify and evaluate external innovation opportunities, build relationships with prospective targets and partners

•    Transaction support: Manage In/out-licensing, co-development, M&A- and venture fund projects in areas such as due diligence management, valuation-/ business case development, contract coordination and presentation in cross-functional committees and board meetings 

•    Management of external partnerships in close collaboration with Alliance Management 

•    Integration - Organize cross-functional teams to support integration or carve-outs of assets and/or businesses

•    Contribute to general department reporting, such as monthly reports, project documentations

•    Strategic Planning - Prepare and lead strategic planning activities to develop and update Merz Therapeutics corporate strategy 

•    Develop strategy communication materials for executive presentations 

YOUR PROFILE

•    University degree in natural sciences and/or economics 

•    Several years in life science business / corporate development, management consulting or investment banking 

•    Strong demonstrated Project Management skills

•    Relevant working experience in Due Diligence processes and contract management

•    Experience with valuation techniques (preferably incl. venture capital)

•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, proven experience developing and presenting PowerPoint presentations to executives/stakeholders.

•    Ideally knowledge of neurology/ movement disorder in therapeutic area

•    Team player with structured working habits, can-do mentality and global mindset with appreciation for different cultures and markets
