Responsible for the financial transactional processing, the role includes aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Banking, Month end processes and Expenses. 

The role also involves day to day management of customer orders, queries and complaints, therefore some experience working in a customer-facing capacity is desirable. 

The successful candidate thrives on responsibility, challenge and problem solving and will have the option of working towards a formal accounting qualification. 

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Accounts Payable duties processing supplier transactions;
  • Accounts Receivable duties including reviewing ageing;
  • Controlling daily cash;
  • Customer Order Processing - accurately, compliantly and in a timely manner;
  • Assistance on information requests from colleagues, suppliers, HMRC, VAT, Customs & Excise, and Auditors;
  • Keeping accurate records;
  • Supports the budget process - cash flows and periodic financial analysis; and
  • Focusing on the improvement and development of the accounting function (SAP, reporting tools, information interfaces).


  • 3+ years experience of transactional role in a finance Department or a degree in a business discipline with a desire to start a career in finance.
  • Previous experience of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Required.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Required.
  • Good Analytical skills - Preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
