National Market Access Manager

YOUR CONTRIBUTION 

This position will support the Commercial Function and will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth of our products. You will aim to maximise the value of the company’s brands to deliver benefits to the NHS, HSE & patients.

You will be required to be aligned to market dynamics and support the business in improving patient access with an in-depth understanding of market trends and industry developments, including everything from coverage and reimbursement, payer policies, and the competitive landscape to potential barriers to access.

 

  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor changes in health economies across the UK and Ireland. Develop innovative strategies to ensure patient access to Merz products and service delivery challenges are effectively addressed.
  • Tender development & pricing strategy: Develop pricing scenarios and strategies. Prepare tender submissions, conducting detailed assessment of impact on revenue.
  • Market Conditions Analysis: Analise the conditions of public and private health economies across the UK and IRE and convey your findings in strategic business plans
  • Business Development and HEOR Projects: provide national insights to support Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) projects in the region. Lead on market access, reimbursement, and pricing scenarios for new products and indications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal and external teams, including participation in cross-functional teams on a global level, external committees, and associations.
  • Additionally, provide support to local Marketing, Medical, and Key Account Management (KAM) teams on healthcare policy matters and develop training programs addressing Market Access-related questions. 

 

 

 

YOUR PROFILE  

  • BA or BS degree required, preferably in life sciences
  • You must have at lease 5-8 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical environment with broad experience in a Market Access function with demonstratable project delivery at a national NHS level
  • Demonstrate robust understanding of both medical and commercial aspects, combined with entrepreneurial mindset
  • Results orientation & strong business acumen as well as excellent communication skills paired with a hands-on mentality
  • Be a team player and core member of the UK & IRE Management Team, you thrive in a matrix organisation, demonstrating high social competence and a willingness to navigate complex networks
